Salvation Army Angel Tree
A few years ago we started sponsoring a child every Christmas from the Salvation Army Angel Tree.
I didn't have much planned for today other than to finish my Christmas shopping, so I braved the traffic and headed to the mall.
There were still several Angels left considering today was the deadline.
Yes today was the deadline, and I didn't know until I got there.
I feel so bad only choosing one or two... there are so many!
I ended up going with a 3 year old boy named Carlos. All he wanted was a tricycle.
So back out in the traffic I go.
It took me 20 minutes to go a mile and a half to Target.
We got him a pretty rad bike and lots of art supplies.
Then another 20 minute drive back to the mall.
Good thing its for a good cause!
Someday my goal is to go feed the homeless Thanksgiving and Christmas Morning.
It just hasn't worked out yet. Hopefully next year!
