Visitors

Ivory: Who just came to visit you?
Cam: um… Gran Gran & Pop Pop!
Ivory: What was your favorite thing to do with them?
Cam: Take Pop Pops hat, and going to that place (The Grand Canyon) and going to eat.
Ivory: What was your favorite thing you ate?
Cam: The one with the water fall to look at things (The Barking Frog in Sedona).
Ivory: Why do you love Gran Gran?
Cam: Cause she makes me happy.
Ivory: Why do you love Pop Pop?
Cam: Cause he plays with me a lot, a lot!
Ivory: Do you know where they live?
Cam: Yeah, far away.

Thats about it :)
We loved spending time in Sedona with Chris’ dad & Debra while they were here visiting from North Carolina last week. It doesn’t happen enough, but we always enjoy catching back up with them when we have the chance.

My favorite Campbell quote of the trip...
Ivory: What should we get Pop Pop for his birthday?
Cam: Um… a boy toy. Lots of BOY TOYS!
:)

Quotable

From the mouth of my Cam Man

C: Mom!
I: What?
C: God made me!
I: Thats right
C: And Jesus loves me!
I: You know who else loves you?
C: You.
I: Yep.
C: I love you most. With my whole heart!

C: I want more of that
I: More pasta?
C: no, more noodles.

C: Mom, I will put my penis away now.

C: Oh eggy egg, where are you?.. OH! I found you!

C: I like my room now. Its so cute… and fluffy!

C: (talking to Chris while he tucked him in one night)
goodnight my son

C: Hey, I want to be a dad.
Chris: Ok. First you have to find a wife & get married
C: Like this? (holding up a white shirt)
Chris: Thats a WHITE shirt, I said WIFE.

C: Mom, I don’t want a corn dog. I don’t want tater tots. I don’t want apple juice. I just want ice cream with a cherry!

Laying in bed while Chris was tickling his back
Cam: (pops his head when “Im so fancy” came on the radio in the loft)
Dad, I need you to be quiet. Im going to sing this.

C: Look mom, why that flag not flagging?
(There was no breeze so the flag was not swaying)

I: What do you want to be?
C: I don’t want to be a superhero, not a doctor, not anyfing!

C: I wished I could go to the store and buy rocket boots to fly.

Fathers Day | 2014

February 25, 2011- it finally happened.
9 months after my first ever positive pregnancy test
& 4 years of trying to start a family,
Campbell made us parents.
He was blessed with Chris as his father.
As was Emerson 18 months later.

Although nervous, the job came naturally for Chris.
He was made to be a dad.
Chris is strong.
And I’m not just talking about his sexy bod :)

His character… strong.
His faith… strong.
His love & devotion for me… strong.
His desire & ability to provide for his family… strong.
His example… strong.
He is the perfect man to teach these precious boys how to be men.
How to be fathers, brothers & friends.
How to be leaders & hard workers.
How to love & lead a family.
How to be a follower of Christ.

Happy Fathers Day Chris.
Thank you for being my partner on this crazy ride!
Thank you for being my babies daddy :)

He knew he was close.

What does your dad look like?

What does dad do for fun?
um… go to work.

What is your favorite thing to do with dad?

Easter | 2014

Dyeing eggs with these two was a hot mess.
Emerson looked like the Hulk before we were done.
I was just thankful to be done!
Every holiday keeps getting better & better as Campbell starts to get it.
…the fun silly stuff like the Easter Bunny & such
but also watching him learn the real meaning.
On our way to my sister Brooke’s later in the afternoon, Campbell saw a cross on a hill.
From the back seat he shouted “Mom! That means Jesus lives!”
It is so fun to experience everything through his eyes.
Emerson is just in it for the candy… except he didn’t know he’d be getting candy yet.
He just wanted the camera o u t  o f  h i s  f a c e !
Cam was totally into piling eggs in his basket.
Emerson was content eating candy… wrapper & all.
We did bribe him to pick up 3 eggs or so :)
Taking pictures of these two is pretty much the worst right now.
Take one...
 Take two...
 Take three…
Take four…
That’ll do...
We reached a huge family milestone.
Everyone looking AND smiling at the s a m e time!
… even if I did have to hold Emerson’s hand down.
We hope your Easter was happy!
