Shots!

Campbell had a rough 24 hours after his shots.
Poor guy.
Good thing he has his daddy to help him feel better...
and a nice hot bath.
We stayed pretty pruny... but it kept him happy.

He's been trying to suck his fingers.
Uh... not going to happen buddy!
Every time I burp him, he manages to get his arm up and suck on his wrist.
I sucked my thumb for far too long.
I am determined to make sure he is NOT a finger sucker!

And he is sleeping through the night again. Yay!

2 months old!

Our baby boy is already 2 months old!?!
It is so fun to see him grow and change...
I just wish I could slow it down a little.
8 weeks
I took Cam to the Dr. today and was certain I would not cry.
I thought that since I made it through the billirubin test without crying, I could for sure make it through the shots.
Wrong.
My eyes totally got teary.
He's a champ and recovered as soon as I was able to pick him up.

Stats:
Weight- 10.5 lbs (21%)
Height- 21.5 in (7%)
Head- 39 cm (30%)

Basically he is a short, chubby, bobble head :)
He has almost doubled his weight since birth already!
His doctor was impressed that he has already jumped from the 4th percentile in weight up to 21st.

At 2 months Campbell is:
-Holding his head up by himself almost all of the time.
We've started putting him in his bumbo too.
He'll tolerate it for about... 5 minutes.
-Not sleeping through the night anymore.
{He must have started to miss me in the night :)}

-Has found his voice and knows what he wants when he wants it!
Sometimes it just takes us a little longer than he'd like to figure out what it may be.

-Is a total cheese ball!
He smiles all day long. I love his big grin and can't wait to hear him giggle.
-Trying really hard to talk.
Every once in a while he gets out a "coo" and surprises himself.

-Loves his mom and wants her to hold him all day long.
Which I am totally ok with.
I understand it could turn into a problem later on,
but right now I am just enjoying being able to stay home and cuddle him all day.
He loves his dad too.
When Chris walks in the door from work Cam whips his head around to see him as soon as he hears Chris' voice.

-Slobbery!
I'm guessing he will be an early teether
I've already had to whip out his bibs.

-Plays with his hair while he is eating or falling asleep.
his uncle Miles use to do the same thing.

-Loves his wubba-nub.
I have to admit I have seen babies with these before and thought they were totally obnoxious.
He loves it though and holds on tight!
He doesn't look obnoxious either :)
-His hair keeps getting more and more curly.
But only when its wet.
These past 2 months have been better than I ever imagined.
We can't even remember what life was like without him.
Happy 2 Months Little Stinker
We love love love you!

Easter

Campbell's 1st Easter was pretty low key.
He woke up to lots of fun goodies from the Easter Bunny.
After church we went out to Collinsville for Lunch,
and spent the afternoon with Chris' family.
We attempted to take some cousin pictures while we were all together...
we'll have to try again :)
Happy Easter!

update...

We've had a busy week!
Sunday Campbell was dedicated at church.
I love any reason to celebrate having this sweet boy in our lives.
Monday we celebrated our 5th Anniversary...
and I went back to work for the first time since having Campbell.
The 5th anniversary gift is suppose to be wood.
I couldn't think of anything Chris would like or need that is wood.
So I settled for something that tastes like wood.
Pinot Noir. His favorite wine.

Tuesday, Miss Shelby turned 11.
Cam and I spent the evening at Cherry Berry with the Miller family while Chris studied.

Wednesday was Chris' birthday. He is 28!
We were going to have family and a few friends over for Chris' favorite meal, Spaghetti and Cheesecake.
He still had lots of school work left to do so we ended up just spending the night together as a family of 3.
After dinner there was a knock at the door.
By the time we got to the door no one was there...

The Millers were so sweet to leave such a thoughtful gift.
It was necessary for them to come over for just a minute to enjoy some cheesecake.
We sure do love them!
Thursday I worked on collecting/ organizing items for an upcoming neighborhood garage sale while the storm rolled in.
Thankfully it wasn't severe in our area.
I have to admit, I use to love it when a storm was coming.
That night I realized I don't love it anymore.
I am not an anxious person, but having a baby makes everything different.
I don't just have to worry about Chris and me anymore.
I feel a little like crying right now just thinking what it would be like if something where to happen...
Campbell obviously wasn't worried about all the thunder and hail.
Friday Campbell turned 7 weeks old.
Time is flying by. I am so excited to see him learn and grow,
but I'd also be totally ok if I could keep him little forever.
Saturday, bright and early, we tried to convince others that our junk needed to be their new treasure.
It was a bust.
It was freezing when we started, so traffic was slow.
Whatever... I'm still happy to have all the junk out of my house!
I love getting rid of stuff.

Bless this Babe

Today we dedicated this sweet boy at church.

"I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord."
1 Samuel 1:27&28

First they prayed for Campell,
and then for Chris & Me...
Then I put a litte bit of salt in his mouth.
The salt is a sign that he is called to be wise and faithful,
the salt of the earth...
And lastly a candle is lit.
Children are the light of the world...

We were blessed to have lots of friends and family come celebrate Campbell with us!
