Christmas

Christmas with our little family this year was awesome...
well everything was awesome except the being sick part.
Campbell & Chris both got a yucky stomach bug.
Thankfully the worst of it was over by Christmas morning.
Christmas is so so much more fun with kids...
& he doesn't even really have a clue what's going on :)

Does this little guy look guilty much?
He loved crawling over to the tree and messing with the gifts.
Can you guess what's going on here...
...clean fresh pjs, sticking with the moose theme.
Other than his activity table (Thank you GiGi!), my lip gloss was his favorite.

Cam also tuned 10 months old on Christmas day.
some fun facts:
-He pulled up for the first time (in the bath).

-He gets up on his hands and knees and will move once or twice but thats about it.
He prefers the army crawl/scoot.

-He has mastered the fake cry & fake laugh.

-We learned that he does not love bubble baths.
He's also a little scared of toys that make noise or dance.
I think all the new Christmas toys were a little overload all at once.

-As noted above he got his first stomach bug.
This thing Would. Not. Go. Away. Just when we thought he was getting better he'd chunk again.
We finally figured out the right food/pedialyte/formula combination,
so this little guys is almost all the way better.

-He weighs 18 lbs 14 oz.

-He hates his walker & actually refuses to touch it.
He's always searching for our fingers to hold onto & lead us around the house.

Touch Down!

Gingerbread Houses

We started a tradition with Chris' family last year to do Gingerbread Houses after Thanksgiving dinner.
Since we were out of town this year we did it as soon as we got back.
Campbell showed off his push up skills.
The kids played in the sun room with Nanny and Papa while the adults perfected our houses.
The older boys did do some pretty fancy decorating of their own.

Thanksgiving/ Phoenix

The whole Stanton group gathered in Phoenix for Thanksgiving
...and a very special wedding.
We had the best time!
I love when all my sibling are together.
Brooke said it best on her fb post:
1 husband, 2 sons, 2 daughters, Mom & Dad, 3 sisters, 4 brothers, 4 sibling-in-laws, 1 soon to be bro-in-law, 9 nephews, 5 nieces, 1 aunt, 1 uncle, 2 girlfriends= 37 reasons this will be one of my favorite Thanksgivings!

I guess mine would be more like: 1 husband, 1 son, Mom & Dad, 3 sisters, 4 brothers, 4 sibling-in-laws, 1 soon to be bro-in-law, 10 nephews, 7 nieces, 1 aunt, 1 uncle, 2 girlfriends= 37 reasons this will be one of my favorite Thanksgivings!
and it only got better from there...

The next day more family arrived for the rehearsal dinner & the wedding Saturday morning.
Jon is one lucky guy to have my sister Mackenzie forever. I have to say that Mackenzie is equally as lucky to have Jon as well. He fits in with our {crazy} family wonderfully!

The wedding was perfect.
The Rentschlers sure know how to throw a great party!

Campbell and Luke (Vince's youngest) are 2 months apart.
These two are going to be trouble I just know it.

9 months

I'm falling behind.
Campbell had his 9 month check up before Thanksgiving.

(insert stats here when I find them)

- has one tooth
- turning pages in books
- scooting and pivoting on his tummy & bottom
- says: dada, mama, rara, baba, nunu...
- finally rolled from his back to tummy
- refuses to eat baby food. Applesauce is as close as he'll get. I'm o.k. with this though. Giving him chunks of our food is so much easier!
- starting to throw fits.  My favorite is when he squints his eyes tight and grunts.
- can plank & do downward dog

- he also pooped in the bath for the first time.
Awesome.

I have started to call him ding dong... I probably need to stop before he gets a complex.
It all started with me singing
"Ooo eee,ooo ah ah
ting tang Walla walla, bing bang"

Then I replaced walla walla bing bang with Camalama ding dong
...and there you have it :)
