2008

2008, what a year! Or so I thought. I felt like we were busy ALL the time, but looking back at the picture's, we really weren't.

January- The only picture I have for January are of the Dogs!

February- This was a rough one. One of Chris' very best friends and his Grandmother passed away within a few days of each other. Sometimes, Its hard to believe it has already, almost been a year.

March-
We had all of the woodfloors in our house ripped out. As you can see water was getting under them some how. What a fun time that was.

April-
Chris is now an old man ... 25!

May-
Cher and Gene stopped by for a visit on their way from Massachusetts to Nevada. They had the wonderful experience of breaking the jeep in with us :)

And we had my moms 60th surprise party in Las Vegas.

June- My side of the family all went to Mexico. It really was so much fun. I'm glad everyone was able to make it!

July-
Chris took me to Eureka Springs for my birthday. We cut the trip a little short, and rushed back to go camping with some friends.

August-
Chris took on the task of sanding down and repainting his jeep. I hope he doesn't take a task like that on again!

September-
We went to Parowan for Lolas 1st birthday. We got to spend some time with the Vegas boys (and Wendy) at the lake too.

October-
Grandpa John stopped in on his way home to Oregon from Missouri. October was a big month for Chris. He went to the circus and dressed up for Halloween for the very first time :)

And October 15th Jake Charles was born. That makes 19 nieces and nephews so far!

November-
Chris' uncle Calvin and Nancy got Married. They are so happy together!

December-
Another surprise party. This time it was for Chris' grandparents 49th Wedding anniversary. They never saw it coming.

I am doing some much needed laundry today. The last load I did a few days ago was all the dog blankets and towels we have been stuffing in their kennel so they don't freeze at night. I went to empty the lint thing, and here is what I found....

Disgusting!

*On a side note*
We have had many failed attempts with our Christmas picture this year. Last Sunday I had the bright idea to have the dogs be in the picture. This is pretty much what happened the whole time. Zoe is a psycho and seriously can't keep her tongue in her mouth. Anyone that has been around her knows this!

After our little photo shoot we went to Rhema to look at Christmas light. Rhema is a bible school here... and is the closest thing to Temple Square we have around. They always do a really good job! Lots and lots of lights...

I am such a loser that I just got half of our Christmas cards sent out today. I need to print more but our computer was attacked and Chris hasn't been able to transfer everything over for me yet. Not having a computer that works is sooooo frustrating.

Anyway... I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas season as much as us! I can't believe Christmas is in 5 days.... it's almost 2009?!?!?! WEIRD.

update

Our computer has a virus, so I haven't posted anything for a while. Here are a few pictures of what has been going on lately.

The day after Thanksgiving we started putting up decorations. We have always done the tree together. After this year, Chris' isn't allowed to anymore. This was the section he was working on. Really?!?! I think he did it on purpose so he doesn't have to anymore :)

Our tree is puny. I had planned on buying a real one this year... oh well... maybe next.

Last Sunday, I was filling the car up with gas with my mother-in-law. It was freezing and so so windy. On my way back to sit in the warm car, I tripped over the stupid pump and fell flat on my face. Not kidding. I had a pretty sweet fat lip. This was taken after I had taken a nap and the swelling had gone down almost all the way. I had a pretty rad scab for a few days though. When we got back to my mother-in-laws house, I told Chris that I got in a fight at Walmart... and he believed me. Not sure how I should feel about that.

Later that night we went to the Casting Crowns concert. Our friend Kristen's, parents had gotten her a few tickets for her birthday... and they invited us a long. I am so glad they did. There were a whole bunch of Christian singers/bands that game and sang Christmas songs. I love my Christmas music! Natalie Grant was there... she is one of my all time favorites.... and sooo good!

Last night we had a surprise 49th anniversary party for Chris' grandparents.

And our failed attempt at a family picture.

And now you are updated :)
