Roughin' it

Saturday and Sunday we went camping with Jared and Kristen at Ft. Gibson Lake. We both brought both our dogs along for the adventure. Max and Zoe love to swim!

The K&J had some inflatable kayak's just hangin' around so they brought them along. We actually had a lot of fun... I was surprised at how relaxing it was. Their dog Chance even hopped on for a little ride.

We ended up coming home Sunday morning earlier than I had expected. We unloaded, showered, and then headed out to Broken Arrow to take the jeeps out, soon realizing it wasn't super smart nor necessary to shower before taking the jeeps. Kristen and Jared were both covered in mud , but it was a good time :) Chris and I got stuck 3 times the round, we even managed to tear Chris' bumper right off.

p.s. don't mind Chris' nasty facial hair. Its a bet he has going with some of the guys at work. When we got home he actually made it even worse by shaving his chin. So now he has a nice little handle bar mustache.

Quirks!

I was tagged to list some quirky things about myself... so here it goes.

1. I love to take naps. On the days I don't work during the day, I almost always take one.

2. I thrive on chaos. When I don't have anything to plan, stress about, make lists for (see below), or look forward to I feel like I am going crazy.

3. I make list's for everything, usually more than one. I don't know why, but I guess making list's for everything makes me feel like I'm in some way getting something done. For example I made a list of my quirky things before I started this :)

4. I love to sneeze. I inherited my god awful sneeze from my mother, as did most of my sibling, its big, loud, and I scream a little at the end. It feels so good. Chris hates it too. He holds his in, so I he doesn't know how a real good sneeze can feel haha. My allergies have been kickin' my butt for the past week and I have started having these little sneezing fits. I sneeze on average about 5 times in 30 seconds. It's annoying to everyone around me, but I enjoy it :)

5. The closet has to be organized. I use to be so extreme that it was organize by color even. Once I got married that went out the door. All jeans have to be together on the bottom row. And then on the top I have my dresses ->then sweaters-> long sleeve shirt-> short sleeve-> tank tops->and then my skirts->. I do the same to Chris' side. I can't take it if his work shirts get mixed in with his normal shirts either.

6. I love to watch T.V. I didn't use to like to watch t.v. at all. In High School my mom had the cable turned off cause Cole wouldn't do anything else but watch it. So when I moved out I remembered what I had been missing. Then reality T.V. came along and I fell in love :) I married Chris and we got a D.V.R, pretty much my life hasn't been the same since. I record lots of reality t.v., and I love love love Law and Order... all of them.

7. I love to be in control of any situation... usually. This goes along with always wanting to have a plan... I love to be the planner.

I asked Chris to list weird quirks about me, this is what he said:
1. I can quote the entire movie Sandlot
2. I belch better than most men
3. I can't eat my broccoli, asparagus, or artichokes with out mayo
4. I love to travel.. mostly to see family
5. I love scaring Chris
6. I'm an awesome painter... he's trying to be funny
7. I'm a horrible driver
8. I love being outdoors
9. I'm the most thoughtful person he knows... he really said that :)

Now I tag... Wendy

THE SHACK

Chris and I both just recently read The Shack. My bosses mother-in-law gave it to her and she then recommended it to me. I am now recommending it to everyone. It really is an AWESOME book.

There are a few things.... maybe a lot of things that could be very controversial depending on the person. I promise you will not be able to read it with out your heart becoming involved. It will make you think about God, Heaven and all your relationships.

Go get it and read it!

Flash back...

I was looking at some old pictures last night and started thinking about how much I miss my family! We were all able to get together a lot this year, and it was great. Now since I'm not sure Chris and I are going to be able to make it to see my side of the family for Thanksgiving or Christmas this year with my work schedule, I am feeling a little sorry for myself.

For this flash back I decided to post a few of my favorite pictures with each of my sisters.

Somebody said a prayer

My sister sent me this morning. Although I do think Billy Ray Cyrus is a bit of a tool I do really like the message of the song, and wanted to share.

Labor Day

We went to Las Vegas and Parowan for Labor Day.

In Parowan we went to the fair of coarse and celebrated Lola's 1st birthday. It was nice to see everyone!

In Las Vegas we just got to relax and hang out with my brothers. I went wake boarding for my first time also. I can not believe how sore I was after. My back is still sore. We had such a good time. I love going back to Parowan and being able to spend time with the fam!
