It happened. Yesterday Emerson turned one.
If he could talk, I think he would say he had a happy day.
As per tradition, E woke up to a room full of balloons
& then we headed out for donuts.
Donuts + a park with sand = bad idea.
Emerson didn't seem to mind, actually.
We had a low key party with all his favorite things...
hot dogs & french fries
watermelon & blue berries
goldfish & squeezies
And cake & ice cream, which he now loves as well :)
Lucky boy had lots of helpers to unwrap all his goodies with him.
He is loving all the new toys & books today.
Last night, all he cared about was that green ball that lights up...
He dug right into his cake,
but not without sharing the moment with friends & family that couldn't make it.
We sure love this boy & are so thankful for so many others that do too.
He is a blessed baby!
To everyone that wished him a happy birthday,
came to celebrate with us, or just thought of him on his birthday...
thank you for loving our boy.
He's got the best crowd in his corner!
