Animal Sounds

Here is our cute boy "reading" his favorite book.
The lighting isn't very good & my voice is really loud.

lately...

We've been trying to do a few fun things as a family while Chris is still off work.

1. BounceU
Campbell's first time... and possibly first love.
He was happy as could be.
We capped off the perfect day with McDonalds for lunch & a nice long nap.
Emerson was content taking a back seat & letting Cam hog all the attention :)
2. Mini Golf
A little bit of a nightmare.
I had the genius idea to take the stroller so the baby could sleep & Cam could rest when he was tired.
Well guess what... the mini golf coarse is not stroller friendly.
We spent more time carrying the stroller up & down stairs than actually playing.
Campbell just couldn't grasp why we wouldn't let him throw the golf balls in the water
which resulted in a few screaming fits.
By the end he was doing much better & actually enjoyed helping us putt.

I lost...
By 3 strokes.

We have discovered that Campbell LOVES footed pj's.
almost as much as he loves BounceU ;)
He peed & pooped in the potty for the first time!
I imagine him making the face below when he is 16 and finds out I blogged about his first potty experience... or any potty experience for that matter.
...& then posted a picture of him without pants on.
His little tush poking out of the bottom of his shirt while he ran around in the yard
was one of the cutest things I have ever seen.
He had a little diaper rash, so I was letting him air out.
Most days we just stay in our pjs.
Sometimes Cam even gets to eat lunch in bed.
Being a family of 4 is pretty awesome :)

1 Month

We made it a whole month with newborn & a toddler
& we're still alive!

Campbell is adjusting well & starting to take more interest in his little bro.
He loves to hold him, help pat his back & give him kisses goodnight.
Mom & Dad are adjusting well too.
Chris goes back to work next Tuesday.
I have a feeling my world is about to get rocked.
He has been such a huge help!
What am I going to do when I can't just go take a nap?!
We'll be back on a schedule in no time... hopefully.
Emerson is a good baby.
He sleeps & eats well.
He is perfectly chunky.
And he loves to be on his tummy.
He's been sleeping in bed with me at night... on his tummy.
Don't judge me, Im tired :)
The older he gets, the more he changes.
We still don't really know who he looks like...
definitely not Campbell!

At his 2 week appointment he weighed 8 lbs 15 oz,
making him heavier than Campbell was at a month old.
He'll for sure be over 10 lbs when we go back at 2 months.
He's already outgrown his newborn clothes,
& as of today, is wearing size 1 diapers.

Happy one month, little squirt.
We love having you here!

lately...

 Campbell HATES long sleeves.
...and pants :/
one week old!
We are enjoying every moment with these sweet boys!

first bath.

Although Campbell still isn't quite sure what to think about this baby,
he knows he is suppose to look after him.
He kept a close eye on me during Emerson's first bath.
He's got your back little bro!
Emerson is much happier taking real baths now that his cord has fallen out.
Campbell, again stood by my side the whole time.
He even ''washed" his own hair :)

18 Months

Campbell is officially a year and a half old!?
He definitely seems like a big boy now... especially with an itty bitty baby in the house.
We were pleasantly surprised at his check up yesterday.
He grew :)
Weight: 22.7 lbs [12%]
Height: 32'' [41%]
Head: 48 cm [56%]

The weight is confusing to me... the boy is not skinny.
He has chunk & rolls in all the right places :)

I haven't checked but I'm pretty sure he hasn't been above 20% in height since he was born.
He grew 2 whole inches in 3 months!

His head has always been around 50%.
It takes a big head to store a big brain :)
He's our little smarty pants.

If Campbell is outside, he is happy.
He loves to climb
Run
 Dig in the dirt/sand
Splash in water
Throw rocks
Chase the dog
... all things a messy boy should do.
He also prefers to do the above without pants on.
He has actually started running from us when it is time to get dressed.

If he isn't outside he is probably dancing...
...or in his room quietly looking at books.
...or using a chair to climb on the counter & shake salt all over the floor.

He talks all the time.
Every once in a while we can even understand what he says :)
He's getting really good at mimicking letter sounds & making animal noises.
Lion... & every other animal that says "rawr" :)
Elephant
Seal
Duck
Monkey
Fish
& Cow... sometimes

He has added a few words/phrase too...
thank you!
one, two, three!
cheese.
what's that?
see?
say?

We love his cute little guts!
