12 fun facts about our
12 month old:
1. He is a walking machine!
...he can't run yet, but he has a killer speed walk
when he is really in a hurry.
Usually to go places he knows he isn't suppose to.
[toilet, dog food, pantry, etc.]
2. He can open the dog's cage.
Sometimes he lets her out,
other times he lets himself in.
3. He started swim lessons.
This class is mostly just getting him comfortable in the water.
He doesn't cry when I dunk him,
but he does not love floating on his back.
We're working on that one.
4. He gives [open mouthed] kisses.
Mostly to mom.
Grandma Polly got a few while she was here &
Dad did last night too.
All I have to do is ask if I can have a kiss.
He'll stop what he is doing,
walk to wherever I am,
pucker [open] up,
give me a smooch,
& then he goes back to whatever he was doing.
5. LOVES himself!
whether it be looking at himself in the mirror or
watching videos/photos on our phones, camera, or iPad.
He can't get enough of that cute boy he sees.
Neither can we!
6. Is happiest when there is a mess.
Not on his hands of course,
but on the ground.
If he sees me cleaning up,
he immediately dumps out whatever I just put away.
7. He can say:
Mamma
Dadda
Ta Da
Uh Oh
Bye Bye
along with all his other ramblings
8. Recently he has become obsessed with playing pat-a-cake.
He can do all the motions,
but usually won't all at the same time.
He prefers to hold my hands & make me do the motions.
He can't figure out how to make me "roll it" after clapping
so we usually skip right to "toss it in the pan".
9. He shakes his head "no, no"
When he doesn't want anymore food,
in response to us saying it,
& sometimes just to make himself dizzy.
10. He makes car noises while pushing anything.
It's adorable!
11. Gives high five's
& will hold his hand up so you can give him five too.
12. When asked "How old is Campbell"
he holds up his pointer finger.
So cute!
Grandma Polly taught his this trick during bath time while she was here.
I am amazed everyday at the happiness he brings me.
He has started doing this goofy little closed mouthed smile/smirk lately that makes me laugh every time.
I can't get enough of him!
A few more random facts & lots of pictures:
- has 5 teeth
-had his first ear infection
lets make it a double :(
-can turn the lights on & off from his crib.
-Weighs 21.6 lbs [29%]
-28 1/2 inches tall [12%]
-His head is 46 1/2 cm [53%]
-loves pulling books off the shelves
& flipping through the pages as fast as he can
-He had his first hair cut
- The back of his hair is starting to get a little curly
-He announced that he is going to be a
BIG BROTHER!
