11 Months

It's true, in one short month our baby will be 1!
[He feels the same about it as I do]
He's even starting to look more like a little boy
& less like a baby...
This was a big month for the CamMan.

He is Crawling,
pulling up,
walking everywhere
[with assistance of walls, furniture, fingers, etc. ],
loves to play "chase",
has 3 teeth
[3 more on the way],
played in the snow for the first time,
went to the hospital for the first time since birth,
& had blood drawn.
This monster LOVES to eat.
So much so that his first real word other than the standard Dadda, Mamma, bye bye...
is hotdog. He thinks it's two words though... hot dog.

The [hopefully temporary] gluten/dairy free diet hasn't slowed him down.
The only thing we struggle with is fruit.
He can't have apples or bananas for now.
He loves watermelon but it gives him diaper rash.
Sometimes he likes peaches, pears & blueberries...
sometimes not.
And grapes & mandarin oranges are immediately tossed on the floor.

Here he is showing you how the cool kids do it...
The mean kid way...
I guess he didn't want to eat pears?!
 And his new favorite,
the super messy way.
We are thankful for Zoe, who happily cleans up after him.
Don't you think he is just going to love cake?!
Fingers crossed his skin testing comes back negative
just like all the blood work did!

This is probably my favorite stage so far.
I know I say this practically everyday, but really it is.
I love seeing him become independent.
He is so proud of himself when he learns new things.
He'll even clap for himself :)
My very favorite part though,  is that he is a cuddle bug again!

{2011} in review

January: Most likely to Freeze
We were stuck inside for a week+ waiting for snowpocalypse to runs its course.
After she decided to leave, we were able to have my 2nd baby shower!

February: Best Month of the Year!

March: Most likely to be a McCutie
Grandma Polly goes home :(
Aunt Mackenzie and Uncle Miles come to meet the little man,
& Campbell gets tortured by his mean parents for the first time.
Hang in there little guy...
your mom is nowhere close to being done making you dress up.

April: Most Eggstravagant
Campbell was dedicated at church,
& the Easter Bunny came to visit him for the very first time!

May: Most Adventurous
Campbell's first plane ride and road trip all in one.
He met all all of his cousins, Aunts, & Uncles on my side of the family.
The best of all... Miss Sayge came home with us!

June: Most Enjoyable
While Saygie was visiting we showed her all there is to know about Tulsa,
made a quick trip to Dallas (where Campbell went for his first swim),
Chris taught her to drive the jeep
& she almost got to experience and Okie tornado!
(Please come back every summer!)
Campbell also experienced his first baseball game.

July: Most likely to... be boring?
I turned 25.
Campbell rolled over for the first time!
&... that's it.
We must have needed the down time to prep for the rest of the year.

August: Most Busy!
Back to the airport.
We flew to Phoenix yet again to see family & help Aunt Macky plan her wedding.

Some very special people came to visit shortly after we got back home.
We loved having GiGi, Granny Gran & Pop Pop here for a visit
& were so happy they were able to celebrate Campbell turning 1/2 year old.

September: Most Anticipated
Cole comes to visit... for the first time in 9 years!?
He's presence was long over due, much anticipated, & most enjoyed.
Don't wait so long next time little punk!

I felt like I needed one more thing to do,
so I also started a little business with the help of my friend, Mary Ann.
Bunt in the Oven.

October: Spookiest
Another plane ride... why not?
This time our destination was Battle Mountain, Nv.
We spent a whole week with the Quintana's & loved every second of it.
Campbell  loved I had way to much fun with his first Halloween!

November: The Yummiest!
Last trip of the year to Phoenix. That makes 4 total
(including our layover back from BM... as in Battle Mountain)
We stuffed ourselves with Turkey,
enjoyed time with family,
& Danced the night away @ the best wedding we have ever been to!

December: Most Jolly
We made gingerbread houses with Chris' family,
& enjoyed every second of our first Christmas as a family of 3!
...except that throwing up part that happened for a few days.
Campbell started crawling and pulling up!

As you can see we had the best year yet!
... 2012 is going to be even better.

Happy New Year!
