Thanksgiving

Looking at these pictures now, I realize our Thanksgiving was a little more redneck than I had realized at the time.

We ate... duh :)

Rode the dirt bike

Took Big Bird out for a cruise

Took a break when Big Bird would over heat
(Yes that is steam pouring out over Chris' head)

Moved some furniture

Snapped a quick photo

Tucked our pants in our boots

And all the while, the dogs were never far behind
But it sure was fun! I love spending time out on the farm, even if it does turn my husband into a hillbilly for the day.

Count your blessing #4...

... a day late. I forgot the charger for our laptop at the farm.

I am so so thankful for my amazing family. I know I have said it before, I am saying it again today, and I will say it many more times... I have the BEST family. Really, I do!
Crazy... yes!
Obnoxious a lot of the time... yes!
Loud... yes!
Big... yes!
Fun... Always!

I am thankful to have them in my life. We are so blessed.
They are all as equally lucky to have me :)

I am also thankful for my husbands family. Its great having them close, especially since mine is not. Its not always easy for me to adjust to different (as in small family, traditions, food, etc.), but I am thankful they are patient with me.

I am thankful for Chris' Grandparents and the great example they set in their Marriage. Papa had a stroke last week and is already recovering well. He was released the day before thanksgiving, and that night we went out and stayed the night with them on the farm. We had had the best time! Definitely something we will do more often. Anyway, while we were there, Chris' Nan put on a video slide show a friend had made for their 50th anniversary coming up. One of the songs on the slide show was "their song", May I have this dance for the rest of my life. Right there in the living room, they got up and danced together. I couldn't help but start crying. They are still so in love!

I am thankful for my future with Chris and to be able to follow in their footsteps!

--No pictures until I get my charger back... but don't worry they are coming!

Count your blessing #3

Today I am thankful for my friends.
New and Old.

** Friendship is like peeing your pants; Everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth! **

Count your blessing #2

Today I am thankful for my job.
The BEST job!
Everyday I go to "work" and play with these boys.

I love getting to see them grow and learn new things. All four of them (soon to be 5) have their own personalities, and get more funny and clever every day.
Its especially fun to have them since my own nieces and nephews are all so far away (with the exception of Landyn and Kius).

This is one of my favorite pictures. It always brings a smile to my face...
And here are the boys singing Frere Jachues

More Country

Allan Jackson at the BOK center.
Someday I will go to a concert that does not involve country music.
I just love it so much!

*Old ladies... please do not go to a concert if you are not willing to stand up*
